Brief exposure to light rain is generally fine for real leather ,  the hide has some natural resistance to moisture. Prolonged exposure, soaking, or wearing a suede bomber in rain is not recommended, as water marks are difficult to remove from suede and can permanently alter the nap texture. After any rain exposure, allow the jacket to air dry naturally at room temperature ,  never use direct heat. Apply a leather conditioner after it has dried completely to restore suppleness.

For smooth leather bombers: wipe with a dry cloth to remove dust, store on a wide shoulder hanger in a cool dry space, and apply a leather conditioner 2–3 times per year. For suede bombers: use a suede brush for surface maintenance, a suede eraser for marks, and a suede protector spray to prevent water damage ,  never use water or standard leather conditioner directly on suede. Professional leather cleaning is recommended for both types for any significant cleaning. Do not machine wash.
